245 is a little slender to play inside, but who knows what type of frame this kid has or what type of build he has already on that frame as an 11th grader. probably either a typo that has been passed on or he is playing inside out of a need for his high school. sounds more like an edge guy to me.

He does seem to be in the Alex Barrow-mold (some scouting databases had Barrow as a DT). Maybe Laurinaitis' recruitment/signing can help us if the staff truly does feel Sean is a good fit for us.

Notice what it says about McWhirter, and also notice the first player listed--Tom Becker, teammate of James Lauranaitis and someone whom Lauranaitis may have been referring to when he said Tressel stopped by to see someone else when he got his in-home.

Matt Carufel, Cretin-Derham Hall
OT has Division I size at 6-5, 280. Early offers from 'U' and Iowa.

Jalon Hopkins, Minnetonka
The 5-11, 160-pound back rushed for 1,943 yards, 26 TDs in 2004.

Bobby Klint, Totino-Grace
FS always around ball for two-time defending Class 4A state champions.

Jordan McMichael, Breck
Big TE target at 6-5, 230. Caught 30 passes for 412 yards, six TDs. Also DE.

Sean McWhirter, Orono
Switched from LB to DE late in season and exceled. Has size (6-4, 245) for line.


Kim Royston, Cretin-Derham Hall
Versatile 5-11, 175-pound athlete. Can cover receivers as DB, catch passes as WR, and return kicks.

The 6-3, 180-pound RB had 1,366 yards and 17 TDs rushing. Also caught 25 passes.
