4/26/05 Aldridge visited Illinois for their spring game. Notre Dame and Oklahoma St. are his favorites right now. |

5/2 James committed to ND today. He says he felt connected to the school while there. Best of luck James.

While I hear what y'all are saying:
Yes, he is from Indiana, but he had tOSU and OSU and TSUN all on his "high" interest list at one point or another, ND coming in by storm and nabbing him. That's why I'm saying that ND "yanked" him from all the other schools. |

If ND cannot win a recruiting war with Oklahoma State, that program is truly dead...no offense to the Pokes, but the legacies are not even in the same galaxy.

The thing I don't get is that he says he doesn't mind sharing carries w/Prince at ND, becuase when it gets time for him to put his name in the draft he won't have the wear-and-tear as he would if he were the only back there. However, once the Chris Wells commitment was set in stone, we dropped. Does he not see Prince as a big threat as Chris would have been (I don't blame him...)? Or was it that he saw our depth and realized he would probably have to wait a while (again, I don't blame him...)? Either way, we have Wells2x, Haw and Pittman and I am happy with them. You can't have to many backs, but bringing in another Top 100 back would crowd the backfield and may cause rifts in the chemistry. Bradley Stephens is there for the plucking in 2007, and I like what he brings to the table... let's get him
