Hunter - ????? (maybe OSU's in a numbers game?)

Mixon probably is one of the guys on the outside looking in when all is said and done. I have to imagine that there will be other Big 10 teams that go after him at some point, but I just don't know that either OSU or Michigan has the schollies available to take him.

Becker seems to like the Gophers a lot considering they have already offered and he is a local. How does Michigan look with Toryan Smith?

That is a pretty good break-down. Wouldn't be mad at all of thats the way things shook-out. To be honest I've never even heard anything relating Michigan to Toryan Smith. I don't think they are in good shape with him.

According to both sites, Michigan has offered the GA linebacker. Supposedly, Toryan's stepmother's best friend's son walked on at Michigan. I read that he got his offer directly from Carr and DeBord.

Does "Cobra" have any interest in OSU? I always thought we were maybe his Plan B, but it doesn't appear that way. Are we showing any interest toward him?

all interest is at a stand still until Cobrani can show the recruiters that his surgically repaired knee is sound. Cobra is likely to be a late signing.

Cincinnati (Ohio) Colerain linebacker Cobrani Mixon not only makes my All-Name team but it’s almost a certainty that the hard-hitting Ohioan will have his pick of schools. Mixon and his teammates rarely attend combines but after watching some film of Colerain, it doesn’t look like they need a whole lot of showcasing.

“Michigan, Louisville, West Virginia, Miami (Ohio) and Kent State have offered me a scholarship.” Cobrani Mixon said.

“My favorites are Florida, Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, Ohio State, Michigan and Louisville.”

Mixon didn’t mince words when it came down to where he’d like to play his college football.

“I’d like to head down south and play my college football,” Mixon explained. “I love the SEC Conference.

“If I had to pick a school today, it would be LSU or Florida. I’m hoping to get offers from both of those schools.”

Mixon, the 2nd cousin of Minnesota Vikings defensive end, Kenny Mixon, had 100 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and 6 sacks as a junior. He was named all-league.

Mixon plans on camping with his teammates at Michigan this summer.

As was first reported by Scout.com Midwest analyst Chris Pool last week, Michigan offered Cincinnati Colerain LB Cobrani Mixon last week. GoBlueWolverine caught up with him Monday to get the latest on Mixon and his teammate OL Connor Smith.

Mister Simpson has been in Cobrani Mixon's ear for quite some time. The future Wolverine has been telling his teammate that that Michigan would eventually come a callin'. "I keep telling him that he needs to be patient," Simpson said last month. "I didn't get offered until Michigan's camp over the summer." Last Friday, that advice paid off.

"Friday Michigan offered me," Mixon said. "My coach called Coach Carr. He told me that he liked what I had done and what I had achieved, and he told me that Michigan had a scholarship waiting on me." Mixon indicated that Carr also offered his teammate, offensive lineman Connor Smith.

When Simpson got word about Mixon's good news, he made sure to remind his young teammate about what he said in the months previous. "He said 'I told you'," Mixon said laughing. "He has been working me a little bit (for Michigan)."

Mixon also holds offers from Louisville, West Virginia, Miami of Ohio, and Kent State, but none of those teams made his top four. "I'd say it's Florida, Michigan, LSU, and Tennessee," Mixon said. When asked if he had a favorite, he replied, "Nah, I'm kinda open."

Mixon and Smith were at the Michigan Junior day this past February, And both will again be attending the Michigan summer camp with the Colerain team.

Mixon is not yet certain if he will be camping anywhere else besides Michigan. And he has no decision timetable at this point.

This is the other recruit who's ranking in DL's list of 2006 talent surprised me. DL has him all the way down at #61. Like with others, I'm sure previous injuries has a little to do with this, but that still seems a bit low for a kid with a Michigan offer in hand...
