'06 OH LB Cobrani Mixon (Michigan signee - Kent State transfer)
Cobrani Mixon
Inside linebacker
Cincinnati Colerain
Height: 6-foot-2
Weight: 220 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.6 seconds
Bench max: 315 pounds
Vertical leap: 33 inches
Cobrani is from defending Division I champion Cincinnati Colerain, and is a teammate of fellow Ohio State recruit Connor Smith. He claims an offer from Michigan, and also likes Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Minnesota, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. I don't know whether the Bucks are in the market for another ILB, but Cobrani will most likely merit a look from the staff.

An offer from Michigan this early in the game? Expect Ohio State to follow up shortly. He must be a ball player since Michigan offered him despite having a couple of star LB in its own backyard. I guess this means that Smith will be offered soon too?

From the Michigan site...Mixon expects an offer from Michigan when he goes up there for their junior day this weekend. He says he would probably accept on the spot. Mixon says he and Connor Smith are tight and that they talk about playing together at Michigan a lot. After Michigan, Cobrani's favorites are Alabama and Florida.

Cobrani is not a lock for scUM...when JT dropped his surprise visit on Connor Smith in December he also talked at great length with Cobrani. Mixon has also drawn interest from Nebraska. But you have to remember that Colerain camps, as a team, at scUM every summer. So the scUM staff gets early looks at their talent...But Connor's choice of school will not have anything to do with Cobrani.
The only thing that has kept schools from offering him right now is the fact that he tore his ACL and is coming off of surgery...But do not underestimate this kid...he PLAYED the final 10 games of Colerain's season WITH the torn ACL and gutted it out on sheer will and pain tolerance. He is also a great kid.

That is funny because a lot of us in the Colerain community (and a lot of Mixon's friends) call him 'Cobra'
