According to the PA guru's, he is still a bit un-coordinated after his growth spurt. he'll have to go to the summer camps and show better athleticism if he's going to get major offers before his senior season.
i would assume we'll eventually offer, but don't expect it to be too soon.

The only PA "guru" I have read that makes negative comments about Lyons is the PSU PR guy--Marshcreek. He wouldn't be making such comments if this kid had any intention on going to PSU.
I would compare MC's analysis with that of Mr. Bucknuts. Not very objective...

Lyons attended Pitt's junior day, so Wannstedt apparently thinks enough about him at this point.

Seeing Wesley in Person is Impressive
Bucks,
I had the opportunity to see Wesley train with his brother and Rory N. at a Performance Center in Dublin, OH about a year ago.
Seeing his size then was mind-boggling. He was "skinny", but the frame on the kid is crazy! If he has hit a growth spurt this year, I am going to have to say, "get outta here!" He must have a hyper-glandular deal.
My point is that if any college backs off of this kid because he is "uncoordinated", then they will be kicking themselves in a couple of years. In the long run, this guy could be very scary.
I cannot wait to see him in Scarlet & Gray!!!

the other guy i've heard that from is bob lichtenfeld(?), not just the psu homer. like i said, he'll probably get that offer; athleticism obviously is in his blood, but any time you initially hit a growth spurt, it takes some getting used to.

I've seen Wesley play twice
He's a big lanky kid, who has nice hands. There is no doubt he's a project, he needs alot of work to become the player his brother is IMO. But if you're willing to wait on this kid for 2 to 3 years, he could be worth it.

Excellent Take, Union
That is right on. His brother's body is phenomenal. It may just take Wesley an extra year or two to develop because of his significant height advantage.
Remember, that is what a redshirt season is for. Not saying that he would redshirt his frosh year, but it may be a fantastic option for him to develop into the beast his brother is.
VG - I would agree that he is XX-fold the prospect that the Purdue receiver is. I wonder if Randy Moss was ever deemed "uncoordinated" due to his height?
Peace.
