This is very true we really stand a decent shot at all of these guys so if we get lyons great if not it really isn't to big of a deal. We could get chichester alone and probably be fine then add all of those top guys that I would take over Lyons and it doesn't put him very high on the list.

BSB $
BK has an article up with Wes. says there is a new leader and it is WVU (!?). says they are telling him he can play right away. Lyons hasn't heard from Miami for awhile so they have moved down his list. he now has WVU #1 and tOSU and Oklahoma tied at #2. says he will be in attendance for most of if not all our home games.
Personally, i think we have as good of a shot as ever with Wes. if Miami is not going to be a major player, i feel we get him. WVU could make a run at him, but if his bro has a good showing this year, i think Wes will be wearing the Scarlet and Gray.

from what ive been reading it seems that if we didnt have such great depth, he'd easily pick us, i get the vibe that he really wants to play alot and early. west virginia was his third choice, but he really wants playing time over everything else.

Man I just wished that he understood that at WVU yeah he willl play, but they arent going to be successful like an ohio st. or Miami.
Yeah the depth chart looks better at those places, but if he is good enough he will find time and will also have history on his side when it comes for a chance to going to the league.

I know what your saying, but it just depends on what is important to a recruit. Many kids come to Ohio State because they always wanted to play there and how soon they get playing time is secondary. Other kids just want to get on the field as soon as possible. If Wesley's number 1 criteria is early playing time, West VA may be a logical choice. If he gets on the field early and has a successful career, he still goes to the league. For those of us who hope that he picks OSU, we have some pretty good home games to try to convince him to make early playing time a secondary criteria.

First, Devon grew up as a fan of Ohio State (per Allen Wallace, the guru), yet he waited until the last week or so before committing to the Buckeyes in 2004. During the fall of his senior season, Devon's leaders were (allegedly) Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State, and Miami. To some, Ohio State appeared to come out of nowhere near the end of the process, and only a few people gave Ohio State a legitimate chance to sign Devon. Lesson: Don't give up on a kid in August.
Like Devon, Wesley is a fan of Ohio State (remember the Housteau picture with Wesley all decked out in customized OSU gear?) Also, he apparently is close to his older brother. Finally, he will attend several OSU games this year. All the signs seem to be pointing toward Ohio State AS OF NOW, but there are over five months until Signing Day. I think that Wesley would have to find an ideal situation before he would turn down Ohio State (assuming that he still has a Buckeye offer on the table). Just my opinion, of course....

How true LordJeffBuck. It's very early and I think Wesley won't decide very soon. I agree even though we are tied in 2nd right now that we appear to be I think we may be in the best shape. I wouldn't worry about him too much because we really are in on too much WR talent and are already deep here to lose any sleep over him.
