Grades are not a problem, Duane Long made a mistake and confused him with someone else. He reported this last week sometime. Bill Greene has backed it up, if I'm not mistaken.
FWIW -- John McAllister, known by most as the #1 Ohio guru (he sells to colleges, not fans like ourselves) has Arvell as the #1 QB in Ohio.

He has a 3.0 GPA...I'm guessing he is taking the June SAT/ACT?

From Superprep.com...Arvell has offers from Michigan State, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Toledo and Kent State. His favorites are OSU, Iowa, Wisconsin, LSU, UNC, Syracuse and Michigan State. He is going to camp at Indiana, Ball State, OSU, Iowa, Wisconsin, and a few others.

In my opinion, we HAVE to offer this kid. I don't want to get into any conspiracy theory Glenville-Wisconsin pipeline, but I'd like to have a mobile QB option to contrast our pocket passers in Schoenhoft and Boeckman. I'm hoping he holds out and waits for the OSU offer (ala Lenix), and keeps his grades up. I guess his speed could use a little work (4.75 40), but 6'4 is a good height for a QB. Just to be sure here, I've heard some people refer to him as mobile, while others have said he's a pocket passer. Can anyone clear that up for good? Anyhow, if not him or Hartline, then who? Sean Hakes? Miles Schlichter? Rudy Kirbus? Tim Tebow?

Or, we just don't take a QB this year.... which is definitely a possability. Nelson is solid, but you don't offer him just to sever any future Glenville/Wisky ties. You bring in the best possable candidates. If the staff feels Arvell would be their best bet at QB, over other prospects at QB and other different positions, then they will offer and hope to get him.

Arvell is more mobile than Zwick, more pocket passer than Smith.
Glenville has nine Division I prospects this year - Ohio State can't (and shouldn't) offer each one. The Bucks will probably pass on at least five (and maybe seven) of the nine, but that won't sever the Glenville-OSU pipeline.
