you are correct Grad....
rivals.com$ 6/22/05 Nelson received an offer from Iowa and they are near the top of his list. Wisconsin, Michigan State, Eastern Michigan, Ball State, North Carolina have also offered. |

Nelson's frame could use some filling out - BN photos from camp

7/6 Arvell and a few other Glenville kids are being pursued heavily by Kirk Ferentz. He is still waiting on a tOSU offer.

Ohio State is still Arvell's top choice, even though he feels that an offer is unlikely now that QB Antonio Henton has committed. His other top schools are Iowa, Wisconsin, Syracuse, and North Carolina (all offered).

I think Ferentz is very smart for taking every shot at landing kids from Glenville. It's obvious that OSU has something going with them besides location, and the Bucks have benefited greatly for doing so. However, we can't take 'em all, and with each prospect that we let go somewhere else, there will be the beginnings of a new precedent. "OSU hasn't offered? Come play with your other buddies!" To this point they have had a great amount of success (some very early..#7...) I don't think it could hurt Iowa or Wisconsin (D.Jones) to load up on as much Glenville talent as they can, in the hopes that one of their future superstars isn't really sold on OSU. Now, having said that, I'm not sure why they wouldn't be sold on OSU
Or even that we should feel threatened by letting a few Tarblooders stand on the visitors sidelines in the 'Shoe. All I'm saying is that it can't hurt teams to get a foot in the door, and I think Ferentz and Alvarez realize that and both would agree with me.

IMHO the number of D-1 kids at Glenville is going to grow every year.
As we all know not all D-1 kids are OSU ( major powerhouse) recruits. From watching Glenville play one game, and one game only last year, Jamo, Lennix, and Rose were the only kids who really took my breath away. Many of these kids are going to have to take non OSU offers. If some of these kids go to other majors to only end up buried on the depth chart I don't think it will hurt us. Really, I hope Fred Davis hosts every Ohio kid who visits SC! |

Iowa (offered) and Ohio State (not offered) are Arvell's co-leaders; Wisconsin (offered) is third.

7/19/05 Nelson favors Ohio State over Iowa, Wisconsin, Syracuse and North Carolina. All have offered except for OSU. He mentions Antonio Henton and says he is not sure he committed to OSU. He would most likely verbal to OSU if offered. |

Rivals $ (Syracuse) 7/19 Nothing new here as Arvell reiterates his top fives and his hopes for a Buckeye offer.
