The kid needs to put on some serious weight. I'm sure a redshirt year at wherever he goes will help that. |

While I would have liked to see Nelson in an OSU uniform, because he is a very good kid, Ohio and Glenville product, the fact is that the staff can only offer so many scholies and the quarterback offer went to Henton, who in my opinion is simply better than Nelson at this point, no offense to Nelson, he is talented, but the weight issue and the fact he is not a running quarterback most likely led to him not getting an offer.
My money is on Iowa at this point. |

Any chance this kid starts next year. Since we dont play Iowa for the next couple of years i wouldnt mind him doing well over there. Just not well enough to have Iowa get into that Glenville pipeline.

Jake Christensen was (and I assume still is) the heir apparent to Drew Tate. He's a RS freshman who was in the A-A game in Jan. 2005 and was the offensive scout team player of the year.
Other QBs coming back will be Adam Farnsworth, (So. this year, comes from a community college, I think he's a walk-on), Nelson, and Lake Catholic's own Rick Stanzi. Stanzi was the best HS runner of the group even though he's 6-4, 200. Christensen is smaller in the mold of a Drew Tate. Nelson we know about--great numbers in a basic system with a great supporting cast. He could have the highest upside. |
