ditto for Daniels and Oklahoma.

my prediction on ashley:
he visits minny and ou, says he had a great time at each and decision is difficult now. He claims no favorite and says he needs to think about it. He then selects USC thereby preserving his silent verbal, and allowing them to recruit other 5* DT's.

I agree in some part with your statement, but don't forget we were his favorite before USC and he hadnt taken a visit. Maybe he was just a young kid thinking above his head and saying beaches, girls, warm weather, and a great football team, and he saw us losing a couple games in a row the national media really down on us so he thought that was a better fit at the time. Now that he has had his official visit, he sees our class and seen what this team is capable of in the scUM game he knows this is the place he wants to be.

Yes, but up to that point he hadnt taken ANY visits. All bets are off once you step on a campus - thats when the real sales pitch begins. Ive seen this story over and over again each year - each visit a kid takes is his immediate "favorite". This is why its best to be last. From the trend I see I would bet on Oklahoma. I am hopeful, but will truly believe he's a Buckeye when his name is on a NLOI.

If he hadnt taken a visit to tOSU and we were his favorite well that is good. Then the fact that he wanted to verbal to USC and then came here and he regained the lead that is good. Oklahoma hasnt been recruiting him as long I don't believe and they were never really one of his favorites. His top have always been Us and USC.

I couldn't agree more...getting him in here with Worthington, Boone, etc. on his official could be the difference maker. But he also is probably going to visit Oklahoma. It will be interesting to see who the Sooners have in that weekend along with Ashley. I also think the fact that we were the first to offer may be crucial in the end.

One other thing to add on the OU discussion, he has said a few times in the past that if he leaves the Big Ten region (tOSU, PSU, Minny) it will only be for USC.
