two months ago there was heavy rumors that he had already silent verbaled to USC

That is why I posted it since wstripes has said that before it made me believe it more but I will find out what I can this week end let you guys know about it.

I dont know you nor your friend. So I can just take what you have to say as fact. I do believe that we are among the top two for Ashley since that's what came out of his mouth. It is difficult to take the word of other "ambiguous" sources over the kid's own words.

except for the fact that the "other 'ambiguous' sources" that I am referring to have (again, unfortunately for us Buckeye fans) rarely been proven wrong...

The only reason I posted this is because I have heard it from wstripes before and this just confirmed what he has said. I do think if Walker is really still deciding where to go to school we are in the top two or three and we still have as good of a chance as anybody to get him. But it is possible that he verbal to USC this summer and it just hasn't been made public yet.

Unless Ashley is trying recreate the Kevin Jones spectacle of a few years back, i really don't think he'd silently commit to USC and come out and tell the recruiting sources that Ohio State is his leader. I recall that everybody assumed that Ashley was going to USC because he marveled over a trip to their camp over the summer. But since then, the USC talk has steadily diminished and he came out and made OSU his new leader. I personally would be shocked if he was still a silent commit to USC.

Remember, players have historically committed silently on recruiting trips but then retract that commitment the second they get home. (Dwayne Jarrett ring a bell?) Maybe Ashley hinted at a commitment when he visited USC over the summer but feels a lot differently about things now.

Sleazy Pete wants his commits to remain silent and waste other coaches' time recruiting them ala OSU coaches wasting their time recruiting this kid. Folks, wstripes isn't just "some poster", he's ALWAYS BEEN ON THE MONEY. He has a direct connection to USC's staff. I will be shocked if Ashley is anywhere but SC next year.
