According to Chris Pool, Ohio State never offered Jones or James and has not been actively recruiting either one of them. He implies that Lemming is somehow involved in reporting inflated numbers of offers and creating a stir over two recruits who are not nearly as sought after as they are being portrayed.

ND commitment Kallen Wade is the #2 prospect in Ohio. -Tom Lemming.

Given that:

- ND already has Zach Fraser committed at QB
and
-Jones' HS teammate already committed to Illinois

it seems that Jones will eventually stay in state as well.

I'd be just as happy to take Isiah Williams.

From Rivals100.com...Jones is trying to lay low as he decides between Illinois and Notre Dame. He was happy for Juice Williams to make his committment. Juice's decision will not have any impact on him and he is going to try and keep things quiet for a few weeks while he trys to decide with his family.

With Zook getting another QB and the loss of Cutliffe for ND do we go after Jones?

In a recent Rivals Radio interview with Tim Tebow, he was asked if he has seen a QB at the varous camps that sticks out to him... and he mentioned Demetrius.

From the EdgyTim site...Mizzou and NC State have thrown their hats into the mix. Jones has 46 offers to date. ND and Illinois still lead but he will visit some other schools as well to see what else is out there.

Notre Dame and Illinois still lead, but Ohio State is also in the running. Demetrius will try to visit Ohio State this summer.

totally agree (as usual) tsteele...with Illinois already having Juice Williams in the fold and ND already having a verbal from Zach Frazer, I think it only makes sense for him to make sure he looks at all of his options...

just like jame alridge kept stating that chris wells' commitment wouldnt affect his interest in osu. these kids arent stupid. they know that its much harder to get on the field in a situation where they are coming in with another highly touted recruit at the same position.

He may still opt for ill, or nd, but i think that the fact that they have commits at qb already is starting to weigh more on his decision than previously.
