Brown is primarly getting recruited as a safety at the next level. Brown has 740 rushing yards and ten touchdowns through 5 games. Toledo, Ohio State, Bowling Green, Akron, Illinois, West Virginia, and Ohio have been calling. He would like to visit West Virginia, Toledo, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, and Illinois.

No. 20 Benedictine 28, Youngstown Cardinal Mooney 13
The Bengals held on after gaining a 17-0 lead in the nonleague game at Bedford that pitted a pair of defending state champions.
Benedictine was last year's Division III champs while Cardinal Mooney won the Division IV crown. In handing the Cardinals their first loss this season, the Bengals evened their record to 3-3.
Cardinal Mooney (6-1) struggled stopping the run.
Senior Chris Austin rushed 31 times for 178 yards and two touchdowns. Jahmal Brown gained 62 yards on six carries with one TD. Benedictine amassed 239 yards rushing and threw the ball just once.

Walsh Jesuit vs. Benedictine
What, when, where: Nonleague game, 8 p.m., Bearcat Stadium, 481 Northfield Road, Bedford. Call 216-421-2080.
Records: Walsh Jesuit 3-4; Benedictine 3-3.
What to watch: Two teams with rich traditions but struggling this season. Walsh's suspect run defense was exposed last week in a drubbing by Lake Catholic. That could pose a problem against the run- oriented Bengals, who are fresh off a win over defending Division IV state champ Cardinal Mooney. But the defending Division III state champs seldom pass and are hard- pressed to defend against the pass.

Walsh Jesuit 14,
Benedictine 13
Senior quarterback Eric Hinkel threw a 9-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter and ran 1 yard for a touchdown in the second quarter to help Walsh Jesuit build a 14-0 lead. The visiting Warriors (4-4) used a strong running attack led by senior Trey Bennett, who rushed for 116 yards, and junior Mark Wooldridge, who added 67 yards on the ground, to secure the win after Benedictine had pulled within a point midway through the third quarter.

From the Pitt site...Joe Thomas calls Jahmal the best back they faced this year. He has an offer from Toledo and has camped at OSU, Illinois and Bowling Green.
