Coaches have been on vacation. Some of them send recruits cards for Italy, while other coaches just leave kids alone. Everyone is now back in the saddle.
Bottom line on Slaughter is that staff reviewed his tape, saw him play a couple of games including the spring game and didn't see what they needed to see. I think his statement of him having an offer was simply hearing that OSU would be watching him.
I have seen his tape and play in person and I like him a lot. I wish he could have come up for camp and made a name for himself with staff. Really demonstrate what I believe he can do.
One last comment, have you noticed how this recruiting class has been held to a higher standard with respect to their grades and scores -- Herein lies a problem.

How is this a problem with the new academic measures being put in place?

I think he meant that the staff wasn't as interested partially b/c of the higher standard for grades this year...

Ohio State, Michigan, South Carolina, Auburn and Ole Miss are his top schools and he will officially visit each one. Reportedly scored a 780 on the old version of the SAT.

From BSB...Chris is in no hurry to decide. Antonio is not pressuring him to go to OSU. He says he hasn't heard much from OSU lately.

Chris says Michigan and South Carolina are his top two followed by Auburn, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Louisville, and Georgia. When discussing visits, he does not mention tOSU in the list.
