Lucas is holding offers from Pitt, Wake Forest, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Duke, Virginia Tech, and possibly Ohio State. Lucas is a versatile player who can fit into a variety of positions on the field. As a junior, he ran for 1,900 yards, scored 28 TDs on the ground, caught 18 passes for 400 yards, and returned a kickoff and punt for TDs. He has over 3,500 yrushing yards in his career. According to his coach, Lucas has amazing balance, excellent vision, and consistent sub-4.5 speed. Some schools like him as a running back, others see him as a DB, and some are simply recruiting him as an athlete.
Personal Take: Although Rivals has Lucas listed with an offer, there is no mention of this in any of his articles. However, after viewing his films, Lucas is a legitimate prospect. He certainly does not play like he is 190 pounds. His hard-nosed style, versatility, and upright running form instantly reminded me of Tim Dwight.

Lucas is not worrying about recruiting right now as he wants to focus on winning a state title. His father played baseball at Pitt. He will take all five visits.

By BSB... OSU has not officially offered Lucas. He does have offers from Pitt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Michigan State and Michigan. He calls Fickell one of the nicer coaches he's met. OSU wants to see some film from his senior year. Two of his former lacrosse teammates now attend OSU. He is wide open at this point.
It will be interesting to see how things pan out...OSU is already looking at two other very similar players in Chris Fox and Grant Schwartz. Lucas also brings the added benefit of being a great return man, but all three are about the same size and play the same position (Caparelli and Fox are both 5-11 190 and Schwartz is 6-0 201). All three run around a 4.4-4.5 so I think film from their senior season will be big for all of them to see who, if any, get an offer. My money is on Schwartz at this point...

It will be interesting to follow the recruitment of all three of the players you mentioned. One thing I can add is that Robinson plays against the top competition in Virginia and has put out a few quality D-1 players in their day. The most recent that we recruited was Chase Anastsio who now is a return man for Notre Dame. As you said, it should be a little while before we find out if any of these guys get an offer based on their senior video.
