HH and others: Javon Ringer vs. Maurice Wells
With Ringer receiving a qualifying test score, does an offer follow?
Also, I haven't seen Wells on tape, but he's obviously the real deal with an offer already on the table. The Buckeyes chances seem to be pretty decent due to the family connection.
What are the Buckeyes chances of taking (or landing) both?

Great news on Ringer getting his test score. A 3.87 shuttle time is sick and he did it despite not working out since January so he could get his academics in order. I would hope he's rewarded for his hard work and I think he gets an offer, probably at camp.

I guess the answer is yes- JT spoke with him earlier this year about his grades and he seems to have listened and responded. He is the the best RB in Ohio and they usually get offered by tOSU if they can qualify.

I think our chances are good on both. Ringer has been a tOSU lean and now that he is qualified it should lead to an offer. While Wells and his mother seem to like tOSU and they have family in the area. But I do have a few concerns about him 1) Coach Conley leaving and the impact that has on his recruitment and 2) the stardom factor- with Petey telling him he is their no. 1 guy and Bowden putting on the full court press. We shall see.
But I guess that we have a better than average chance at both.

I was talking to staff today and apparently, they are not planning (at this point) in offering him. I was told they are looking at another kid, when I asked who, the Coach I was talking to did not know. I pressed him on it, so I hope to know over the weekend.

helpinghand,
any reason why the bucks would not be offering javon ringer (as of now anyways)?
did the coaches say it was an academic thing or is it an athletic thing or is it just a need thing on our end? he seems to have enough speed, more than enough quickness, great toughness, and good vision. sounds like a high D1 player to me.
just wondering.

Maybe they like Tolbert or Sutton better?
