Iowa WR Dominique Douglas (Iowa signee, transfer to ???)
Dominique Douglas Wide Receiver / Safety Detroit Murray-Wright Height: 6-foot-0 (Nike) Weight: 174 pounds (Nike) 40-yard dash: 4.5 seconds Bench max: 265 pounds Vertical leap: 30 inches (Nike) SPARQ: 67.53 (Nike) 2005 stats: 85 receptions, 1,500 yards, 24 TD's Ohio State and Michigan lead for this Rivals 2* prospect. Dominique claims an offer from Michigan, and that he will take official visits to Bowling Green (offered) on December 2nd, and Ohio State (not offered) on December 9th. Classic late bloomer who wasn't even on the radar screen after spring combines and summer camps, but check out the senior year production - regardless of the level of competition (and I am not familiar with his school), 85 receptions, 1,500 yards, and 24 TD's are impressive numbers. Michigan State Rivals - 11/15/05 Ohio State and Michigan lead; he will attend The Game on an unofficial visit. Last edited by LordJeffBuck; 11-20-2005 at 08:29 PM. |

11/16/05 From the Michigan site...Douglas has offers from Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Cincinnati and Toledo. Michigan and OSU have recently gotten involved but have not officially offered. He will visit Michigan this weekend and OSU on 12/9. Coach Haynes is recruiting him for OSU. |

Douglas enjoyed watching The Game yesterday; he sat on the Michigan side, but was also able to speak with Coach Hazell and Eddie George. He is still planning to visit Ohio State on December 9th. |

I don't think the Detroit City League-or whatever it is called-is that bad of competition. Michigan football in general is a notch or two below Ohio and Pennsylvania.

It's encouraging that Dominique held off committing and wants to visit tOSU first (on Dec. 9th I believe). He will however be visiting scUM officially on Dec. 16th.
I wonder just what kind of interest the staff has with Douglas. I guess it would seem to be pretty high, if they were calling him before The Game and trying to get him to sit on our side. I think they NEED to come through with an offer on or before his visit though, or he commits to that team up north on his official... |

Anyone seen any film of him? You would like to see a sub-4.5 for a kid this small. Kind of like Ricky Bryant, eh? Rather see OSU going hard at the Percy Harvin's of the world..

Just remember, college football is littered with 5-star busts. I trust JT & Co. to find the prospects who best fit their system and who have the most potential to develop at the college level. |

Percy Harvin, who has been hurt and suspended during his senior year? Percy may end up being a great college player but I trust the staff's judement of talent and character. For example, I'd almost be willing to make a bet right now about who will put up better numbers in college...Percy Harvin or Brian Robiskie? And I would almost bet the house that it's Robiskie. Is there any way to support that statement right now...not really. But remind me to look up the numbers four years from now...
