Fla. Recruiting Trail

My business partner is good friends with UFs Running Back Coach, he went down to the swamp for the UF v. FSU game this weekend (which ended up being a tremendous Haul of verbals for UF). My partner got a dose of how grueling and non-stop recruiting is for an Asst. in College football.

After dinner, they had a recruit dinner. The next morning his buddy drove from Gainesville to Tampa to go to church with CJ spiller, and meet with another recruit (AJ Jones I think) before driving back.

The recruiting time commitment is extrordinary (and year round) when you figure it is in addition to duties as a position coach etc.

A couple side notes:

another one of my partner's buddies is an OC in the senate league, and TG Senior had them bring down tape of Ray Smalls and Rob Rose for the UF staff.

MY Partner who isn't a huge Buckeye fan and unbiased, said the swamp was no where close to the game atmosphere as the Shoe, and the Shoe was much much more intimidating for opposing teams
