Decision time nears for Scotlandville lineman

With less than two weeks remaining before the national signing period begins, Scotlandville two-way lineman Daverin Geralds knows the clock is ticking.
Geralds, a 6-foot-2, 285-pounder, has already made official visits to Duke and Southern, the latter where his father David is defensive line coach for the Jaguars.
“Both visits were real nice,” Geralds said. “I had a really good time at Duke. As of right now that’s where I’m leaning.”
The next step for Geralds, who holds a 4.6 grade point average, will be to decide on a visit to close out his recruiting process.
He said he’ll choose between Stanford, Georgia Tech and Ohio State for that final trip this weekend.
“I’m going to have to pick between a lot of good schools,” said Geralds, a honorable mention Class 4A All-State choice as a senior. “A lot of schools have been coming on me late. It’s going to come down to which school has my major (electrical engineering) and the best program for my major.”
