Doesn't Jason Whitlock sometimes work for ESPN? I could've sworn I saw him on Cold Pizza/1st and 10 on multiple occasions.
Not that I don't like the story, I just found it ironic. |

I always thought that too... maybe they don't use him anymore, so it's a bit sour grapes. But he is spot on w/ Fowler

One thing that he needs to keep in mind is that we're dealing with big businesses, and none of those (including FOX, the one for which he's working) keep anyone's interests at heart except for the company's. He shouldn't be surprised, and he probably shouldn't be working for FOX if he thinks that way.
Very good article though. |

Pretty good article.
I don't agree with everything. I think he's stretching it a bit in regards to Davis' skill (second coming of Brett Favre?). Also, leading Oklahoma to 11-1, in my opinion, is tougher than leader Ball St. to 12-0. I think his bias for Ball St. is there, even as much as he tries to say it's not throughout the article...not that there's anything wrong with that. It's his school and this year has been their "moment." I'm a little shocked at his comments towards Fowler. I also thought he was pretty knowledgeable and kept the other guys (read: Corso) in check. But, I guess I could see it, now that he mentions it. Overall, he nails ESPN's M.O. perfectly. |

OUCH!!!
What if they held a pro day and nobody came? Such was nearly the fate of early exiting Ball State quarterback Nate Davis on Friday, when only the Indianapolis Colts showed up to watch him throw to various Cardinal receivers on BSU's home field, and that probably only because it wasn't much of a drive for them.....
