Welcome aboard Freddie (officially at last)

Welcome aboard, my gut said this was in the works from very early and Ted Sr knew, I was thinking that this was the reward for Freddy taking care of his business this year. I hope he can be as big of a playmaker in college as he was in HS.

Ted Ginn Sr. sure sems to be doing some unbelievable things with the tarblooders.
1) How many kids go to that HS? (wondering how they can have so many top recruits) 2) Are there any other playmakers coming out of there in the next couple years? 3) Any chance we can get Chris Wells to transfer and play for Ginn Sr for a year? ![]() |

Great news. Just what every team need playmakers with uncoachable speed. I think this kid makes a huger impact on this team. Great!!!

Was the reason he was initially a 3 star because of his grades? Glad to see scout.com has him at 4 stars now. I think he's gonna be a playmaker on Ohio State. Can't wait to see him get some reps at gunner and let him grow into his role as a LB (I think our offense will be potent enough and our defense nasty enough that we'll finally ahve some games where we can get our backups some game experience.

I just hope this guy's academics are in order.I hope he works out,but I'm not that pumped on this guy.I think we are losing McCoy due to Espin's pounding.Everytime OSU contacts this guy,Fat Fulmer is prowling in the background..........Go Bucks.......

The Tennessee scandal looks like it might happen (lots of rumors from reliable sources), and McCoy sounded like he had gotten over the allegations.
We'll all know after tomorrow whether or not there is a nasty scandal brewing. I think McCoy is the most likely recruit waiting in the wings after Wells. |

As for McCoy, he has his own thread for your thoughts...let's keep this one on Freddie only |

My personal feelings aside on how we the fans form judgments on recruits based on arbitrary information, I am excited about Lenix.
He was THE dominant force on a state champion-caliber defense, the likes of which included another future Buckeye, who was ranked more highly by the "recruiting experts." If you don't see Cie Grant-like potential in this kid, then you're trying not to, and that's more about you than Lenix. |

2-There are always big time recruits coming out of there. Next year, the guys to look for are RB/DB Ray Small, DE Robert Rose-6'5 230-maybe the best, and OL Bryant Browning. 3-I don't care if they were playing for Ted Ginn Sr./Mother Teresa/Woody Hayes all rolled into one-I would never wish a year in Cleveland Public Schools on any kid!!! I love the pickup of Lenix- a lot more than Daniels if he had committed. If Lenix can put on 15lbs-he can be an absolute terror at OLB. Jonathan Vilma, Rohan Marley, Cie Grant-you can play LB in college at 6'0 210 no problem |

This is a huge addition for the Bucks, the kid is very talented and is a character guy......a team leader.
Great job by the staff.....in the recruiting world, nothing is taken for granted and they did a great job of recruiting this blue chipper. Forget the stars the kid has on these recruiting sites.....the kid can play...end of story Welcome aboard Lennix. |

Between Lennix & Daniels, I felt like we needed at least one of the two- someone who could play multiple positions, if need be. In my opinion, we picked up the best of the two (and most definetly the faster of the two!). I see him as a smaller, more athletic version of Curt Lukens.
He'll either be the fastest blitzing linebacker I've seen since Cie Grant, or be ANOTHER Buckeye all-american safety. Either way, congradulatings Freddie! You made the right choice for ya!! Now eat some wolverines! |
