Judging by the picsthough, Akeem has a frame that could comfortable add another 25-35 lbs of muscle, which would be plenty to fill an OLB void on our depth chart. |

I like his slender build. I also like the fact that he is only going to be a senior next year, so there is really no pressing need for Ohio State to play him (or Homan or Gibson or whoever) right away. He'll be able to build himself up (if he's ours) while Freeman and Lukens man the outside (or any of the bevy of others).

3/29/05 From the Maryland site...Hebron and teammates Drew Gloster and Anthony Davis are all major D1 recruits. Hebron is up over double digit offers with his latest one coming from Michigan. He was considered by most to be the best defensive player in the state of Maryland last year. |

4/9/05 Akeem has picked up an offer from Nebraska. He benches 280 pounds, squats 440 pounds and power cleans 282 pounds while maintaining his 4.4 40-yard dash. Maryland was a childhood favorite but the numerous offers have Akeem's interest. |

Was this really as huge an offer as BN says it was? I figured he was offered by a bigtime program...

I can't see him being a LB in college, with his speed he probably will convert to safety.

4/27/05 Hebron will be a three-year starter at outside linebacker, and a year ago he finished with 110 tackles, 11 sacks and two interceptions. Akeem has already taken unofficial visits to Penn State and North Carolina and he hopes to visit Georgia, Virginia Tech, LSU and Oklahoma in the summer. His top four schools are Georgia, Virginia Tech, LSU and Oklahoma. |
