Do not take MSU lightly, but rest well at night my friend. They are mentally very soft right now. If OSU scores first they win big. If MSU scores first, OSU still wins but only by 7-10 in the 4th quarter. |

MSU plays us tough and I never feel comfortable about a victory before the game. Some friends and I are considering going to East Lansing for the game, but we don't have tickets yet. What's the scalping scene like up there? |

Mebby the Spartys are down and for good reason. Hate to see an historic program like MSU dragged down. They still have many quality players. They've shown flashes of great team play. At some point these guys, coaches included, are gonna get so humiliated, they'll play beyond their talent. Sure hope it ain't this Saturday in E. Lansing

MSU's Trannon out against Ohio State October 9, 2006 By SHANNON SHELTON FREE PRESS SPORTS WRITER EAST LANSING ? In the midst of a three-game losing skid, Michigan State was already a considered a substantial underdog going into this weekend?s game against No. 1 Ohio State. Now the Spartans? odds are even worse. MSU (3-3, 0-2 Big Ten) will be without wide receiver Matt Trannon, who sprained his ankle during MSU?s 31-13 loss to Michigan, as well as tight ends Kellen Davis and Eric Andino, who didn?t play against Michigan. Although Trannon could return next week, Davis and Andino are not expected to be back. ?They?re not with the football team at this point,? said MSU coach John L. Smith. ?They?re suspended until further notice.? Smith did not give a reason for the suspensions. Freshman T.J. Williams will start at split end in Trannon?s place. Defensive tackle Clifton Ryan is probable after bruising his calf against the Wolverines and free safety Otis Wiley said he will play this weekend wearing a cast on his wrist. He suffered a sprained right thumb during the game. Linebacker David Herron, who suffered a concussion against Michigan, is also slated to play on Saturday. |
