I disagree... I simply can't watch that game. It's awful too, cause it was really such a great game. But, it just [censored]es me off too much to sit and watch OSU [censored] away what should have been a great win in that manner... not taking anything away from VY getting it done when he had to.. just [censored]es me off that OSU scored on 6 straight possessions and came away with a lousy 22 points total.

That's what makes summer bearable, the anticipation of another classic. Having made the argument of how great the Texas defense will be -vs- how great the tOSU offense will be, I think the flip side of that will also be true, that being people "OUTSIDE" of tOSU fans will be surprised at how quickly the talent on the defensive side of the ball has been replaced after losing so many starters, and poeple "OUTSIDE" of Texas fans, will be surprised that Texas can still manage to get into the endzone without Vince Young.

While UT has pleanty of skill left at the skill positions (which, judging from the likes of Chad Henne, can make a difference (see Braylon Edwards) I'd still worry about your QB situation if I were you. No a lot you can do about it, of course, but asking a young QB to go in to a game like this one and stand up can be a tall order. Pressure early and often will be important, if you ask me. Gotta rattle him quick. Playing at home will surely help, if you guys were bringing a new QB to the shoe, I'd have to say your team would have a tough hill to climb.

The team with the better QB wins and I don't mean on that particular day.
Every other position is a wash. Both schools have outstanding recruits and top notch coaching. Texas will be at a disadvantage because of that one factor and its BIG! I also see Texas losing to Oklahoma this year for the same reason. You just can't reload a VY! |

The saving grace for either of the UT QB's is the fact they will be surrounded by alot of talent. Texas OL will be very, very, good. Jevan and Colt can both throw tight accurate ropes, with Jevan having a cannon. Jevan is also a big tough kid with pretty good moves and speed. The question will be how they react after an interception, or a fumble after a blindside hit. One thing for sure is neither of them are timid what so ever, and both practice against a very nasty defense everyday. I still say tOSU wins this one in a close game, but it's going to be a war.

We shall see, if your defense is as good as you say it is, tOSU has nothing to worry about.

OSU scored 22 last year. With a better offense you think they only can manage 10-13? Please. Get back to us when you are dealing with reality |
