I wouldn't recommend it because then who covers the middle of the field but they're certainly capable... I think we'll see a lot of stunts and blitzing from the front 7 first, and if that dont' work we'll throw the kitchen sink to get to the QB. IF we get to the QB we win the game IMO.

I have no doubt about your safeties' ability, I was merely pointing out to your fellow buckeye, that if you stack the box with nine defenders, that would leave the corners covering our WRs one on one. I also wholeheartedly agree that tOSU defense will and should be bringing the pressure. Despite our optimism about the mobility of our two young QBs, its going to be very interesting, to put it mildly, to see how these two youngins' handle the pressure from tOSU. Mack already stated that he would not show anything different at the spring game than what we ran last year, possibly indicating that UT will install some new schemes for the big game, but that has to worry us as well, because then we would not only have one or two unexperienced QBs, but also an entire offense that has not run the particular schemes/formations, against a very talented buckeye team. Practice and routine can only get you so far.

Needn't worry. We will not stack the box with 9 players more than 4 times in this game outside of the Red Zone. Bank on it.

I'm not saying that having a 6" height advantage over the defender is meaningless. It's actually a very nice advantage. But we all saw how it helped Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.

Stovall had 9 catches for 126 yards
Samardzija had 6 catches for 59 yards
Their tall receivers weren't exactly inefficient.

Yeah, but they weren't a factor in the game. Neither made game changing catches.

not a GOTP, but this is a pretty sweet picture of ramonce up for grabs (sig material). I would rehost it somewhere so that it doesn't disappear due to the high traffic reading this thread.

Exactly, mainly because Laura Quinn's little bro spent most of the game running for his life or picking his ass up of the ground.
