Gordon from Indianapolis North Central averaged 26 points a game this past season. He is ranked the #1 shooting guard for the 2007 class. Eric says OSU is his leader and that he could definetly see himself playing with Cook, Conley and Oden at the next level. Gordon had 16 points in the tournament championship game against D-One Greyhounds, who has O.J. Mayo, Bill Walker on their roster. |

If Conley & Oden do indeed commit here in the next couple weeks, I wonder what our chances are of getting Gordon to jump on board early? I know he's a youngster, but if another top 5 palyer nationally wants to jump on board, I show him the entrance. He has been saying that he might like to play with Oden&Conley in college which I like hearing!

5/16/05 From ScoutHoops.com...Gordon hurt himself in the semis and did not play in the finals as Spiece won the tournament. Gordon says Illinois is his leader, with his top 5 also including OSU, Missouri, Indiana and Arizona. He is also considering UNC. I didn't see this coming, but we have a long way to go before Gordon will be making a decision...right now he seems to like the fact that Illinois has a guard-oriented system and is losing so many guards this year. |

5/17/05 Another update with Illinois being the leader along with Ohio State, Missouri, Indiana, and Arizona in the mix at this point. (There is a long way to go in his recruitment and I am not concerned with the change of his leader, this is normal in the process) |

There's an update currently on the Illinois scout board with the headline saying "Illinois has always been my #1". Apparently his quotes were taken out of context when he stated OSU as his leader a month ago.

6/24/05 Gordon names Illinois, Indiana, Miami, Missouri and Notre Dame as his top five at this point. No mention of Ohio State. ![]() |

Kyle said on the Bucknuts' board (free) that no OSU on the list had to do with potential PT (or lack of it).
But isn't it possibly that D-Cook (SG) might only play 1-2 years at OSU (along with others in this class). Like was said earlier in the thread, still a long way to go with Gordon. Hopefully he gets some interest back in us. |

Its a long process and his list will change now and then, I think as this 06 class is put together and by the time he is a senior, Ohio State will be at the top of the list.
