Alibi is a native of Nigeria and came to this country about 3 months ago. He probably would have been a 1st round pick this past draft if the NBA had not passed the age limit rule. Florida State and St. Joseph's are the early compeition for Solomon, but look for other major powers to get involved as well.

8/31/05 Assistant coach John Groce has a connection to Alibi's coach. Matta and Groce went to see Alibi workout and liked what they saw. Florida State, Clemson and St. Joes are a few teams in the mix. |

Jeff Rapp has a write-up on this guy in the latest BSB paper edition. At an AAU showcase event in July he had 29 points, 15 rebounds, and 8 blocks in a game against "high-level competition". His coach says that in one of the first scrimmages that Alibi played there he went to block a shot and "you could see his arm was up in the square (on the backboard)." The coach marveled about that and said "I can't teach anybody to do that."
This guy sounds like a stud. Since Lauderdale is apparently a silent verbal, adding Alibi to the mix would get our '07 recruiting off to a great start. It must be a great year for centers since he is only the 7th ranked center in the class but 30th ranked overall (according to Rivals). I think we've got as good a shot as anyone. |

Remember we have BJ coming in after Lauderdale as well.

at this point its looks to be a battle between tOSU and florida state.
i know it is really early but, does anyone think he will be a buckeye? our centers would look like this if i am not mistaken Oden???? but after he leaves, whenever he does we have Lauderdale Alabi Mullens that is alot of depth and dont forget, Hunter Gates Koufos but those 3 are forwards right? is it possible to get Alabi Lauderdale Koufos Gates and Mullens all on this team?....i know we already have Mullens. |

44820 would be better served to answer that question, but one thing that I think is a possibility is bringing in Kosta to play the 3/4, Lauderdale to play the 4/5 and Alibi to be a pure center. Lauderdale is only about 6-9 right now and Alibi is already 7-1. So that is one scenario...
