Southern recently visited Michigan and came away impressed, he contends he is wide open at this point. Michigan was his favorite school growing up. Michigan State, Ohio State and Kentucky are recruiting him heavily at this time. Distance is not a factor in his recruitment.

Southern will make a decision during his senior season or after. Mentions that Ohio State has been coming on strong and he likes Coach Matta and makes mention of the great recruiting class coming in. Southern recently visited Kentucky on a unofficial visit.

Tennessee and Miami (FL) are possible visits. Michigan State, Kentucky, Wake and Boston College head coaches have been in attendance at his AAU events.

Southern is profiled as a target for Kentucky at the PF spot. Averaged 16 points and 16 rebounds a game as a junior.

Southern is seriously interested in Tennessee. Playing close to home is not a factor. Southern will make an official visit to Tennessee in the future. He has not narrowed his list at this point.

Ohio State, Wisconsin and Bradley have become to recruit him hard recently. Miami-FL, Michigan, Boston College and Tennessee are very involved at this point. Miami-FL, Tennessee and Boston College will receive official visits, still undecided on the final two visits. Boston College, DePaul, Kentucky, Miami-FL, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio State, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin have all offered.

You would think that Ohio State would rescind their offer to him with the commitment of Madden. They now need a wing player.

I also think they've gotten their 5/4 big guy in the 07 class in Dallas Lauderdale. That and Kyle Madsen probably mean Josh Southern won't continue to be recruited.
Though John Madden would up the profile of the program a bit as well. Do you have football video games on the brain there LitlBuck?
