I fail to see how a 16 year old HS junior can be tabbed a 3 year and off to the NFL player, at this stage...
Can we let him get on campus first before coming to this conclusion?

Watch his films. If you know what you are looking at, you will see the potential...some kids just have that kind of ability that says NFL. This is a special player. Feel free to let him get to campus before you draw a conclusion but I have seen enough to know something special when I see it.

Very impressive the way he releases off of those blocks. I don't know about the other teams, but I'm assuming that was St. X he was playing against near the end of the clip and he looked just as good. Clearly dominant.

His videos are pretty much some of the best defensive end clips i've ever seen.
He runs on his team's track team as a sprinter. He's 6'6, 230ish (will obviously get bigger) and is pretty much impossible to block. He plays against the best competition in Ohio, and absolutely destroys everyone.
The only person close to his ranking as an Ohio player would be Clifford.
I would almost venture to think that he's better than Rob Rose is at this point.

I would be hard pressed to disagree...Rob Rose is an unpolished product right now. Ben Martin is more polished at this stage of his career than Rose ever was at Glenville. Both have enormous potential...

I would give the slight edge to Martin based on technique and his lateral movement coupled with his reach. Rob Rose was a heck of a high school DE, as proven by his performance in the AA game, but Martin might be a touch better.
