I think we have our recent history and Heacock in our favor.
Heacock is one of the best "D"line coaches in football. And is doing a marvelous job.
ND just has the excitement of a new coaching staff and media hype. The commitment of Clausen will further spur this years recruiting class. That will make it tougher for us with some recruits.
I think it's an uphill battle for us.
If we could get to the NC game it could be huge for recruiting this year.

I agree with you that it should help recruiting but it didn't seem to help much in 03'.
