It always help when you have a cousin on the team, especially when traveling that far, to go to college. It is also nice the success that Holmes has been having here.

Deonte's favorite team was/is UF. I think he also likes the Noles. He is a very good player and one of only 3 jr's that Meyer has offered. I am sure he will be one that Tressel offers very soon, if he hasn't already.

All of the wrs at UF should help us here. Hopefully Santonio will have a draft day party and invite this kid and Albert Dukes...could be the #1 wr in the Country next year...

is that something players do???i think it would be extremely beneficial to us if he did that...that is one of the little things that a player can do that will go a long way in recruits eyes...not to metion the fact that they are already work out buddies

Auburn, Florida, Miami and West Virginia have offered. Ohio State, USC, LSU, FSU, Alabama and Notre Dame are showing interest. Thompson is interested in early playing time and the following schools Ohio State, USC, Michigan, LSU, Alabama, Florida, Miami, WVU and Notre Dame. Mentions that Santonio Holmes has told him tOSU is "cool" but to take all his visits and make the right decision for him.

Actually 2 he had Miami in there too but no FSU. However I think we have a much better chance the Florida insiders think. I think it's very clear he likes OSU alot and has a good relationship with Holmes, which should help. Any confirmation if Dukes is his cousin?

Holmes is also telling him to take all of his visits also, so maybe he does like OSU more than some are willing to admitt. Right now I like our chances.

in the article he talks about wanting to get on the field early. since florida just signed a bunch of WR, i think they will eventually slip out of contention early.

Look for Florida to be your main competitor, UF has already offered, Meyer is a relentless recruiter, and 5 of the top 6 receivers are probably leaving next year.

With 5-6 top WR recruits coming in this year (or next in the case of Williams) for FL. I would think that may scare him off more than anything. May want to stay close to home so who knows.
