2007 Ohio recruiting
how do the 2007 recruits look? i know its early still but is this going to be a deep/strong class? what are the strengths and weaknesses of this class? are there any must-get stud players? any names out there that we should know that you think will be great football players? any news on anything like this at all?

Off the top of my head:
QB-Chris Smith
RB-Jordan Mabin, Dan Herron, possibly Devon Torrence
FB-J'Keem Waters (academics)
WR-Kyle Jefferson (Glenville)
OL-
DL-Ben Martin, Eric Thomas, Joey D'Andrea
LB-David Harsch, Marlin Parker
DB-Torrence, Hanes (Glenville), Andrew Daily, Donnie, Evege, Eugene Clifford
K-there's a kid at the summer camp that impressed but the name escapes me
ATH-Sidney Glover

It is Sidney Glover not Anthony. Torrence will be a DB in Colllege. Two other players ATH Tyon Flowers and WR/DB Chris Rucker 6'1 180 the next great Receiver at Harding. Kyle Jefferson is the WR your thinking of.

Not from Ohio, but Bradley Stephens will be high on that list.

I've got Torrence listed at DB as well. I agree with you, I also think he will be a DB in college.

I know Duane is a big fan of Martin, calling him the best DL in Ohio, even though he's only a junior to be. Apparently has OSU very high on his list, along with Notre Dame.
Jefferson is really the first "pure" receiver coming out of Glenville, whereas alot of his predecessors were more athlete types. I don't know if Kyle plays any defense for them.
Duane also likes Glenville's Geno Sturdivant, who he compares to Lenix. Geno split time at QB with Nelson last year, and will this year unless Hines takes that spot. I haven't seen him play, but he looks a lot more rotund than Freddie. That's not to say Geno isn't an athlete at LB.
Biatchabatuka is the man to ask when it comes to seeing the Tarblooders in person. Hopefully he'll be able to obtain a roster this year. Maybe one of our Columbus brethren can get ahold of the list when they come down to play Brookhaven.
Steven Hight is as good of a ballplayer as his brother, but unfortunately they share the same attitude towards school by all reports. He's got time to turn it around.

Yeah, Kyle Jefferson is the WR out of Glenville. Quinn has a bro at Piquanamed Jafe Pitcock... same school as track stud/RB Brandon Saine. Devon Torrence said he would probably play DB in college.
