I understand everything you are talking about. I never said you didn't like Brian Gamble. Have you watched him play? I am not talking films. Films are real overrated. Mr. Ginn is a huge example of how a highlight real could give a false impression on production! Great player and very dangerous, but he is very unpolished as a player. The bottom line with Brain Gamble is his number one asset will not be seen in any camp. No DB in Ohio hits as hard as Brian Gamble! I am a diehard Buckeye fan and if he gets an offer great, if he doesn't hey some other stud got one instead. We have a difference in opinion here and that's fine. I have seen enough to know that if I were picking say Oliver committed already, Williams from McKinley who had great stats or Gamble to play this year on my team I am taking Gamble, and Oliver and Williams are studs!

Does anyone know whether Brian Gamble is attending any of the football camps this summer?
I'm trying to figure out what's going on with his recruitment--why the limited offers despite his talent level. |

he was at the first OSU camp earlier.

RECRUITING UPDATE – The focus this summer has been as much on where Tiger All-Ohioans Andrew Dailey and Brian Gamble will end up collegiately. For Dailey, it has been a fairly busy summer in terms of the offers he’s received. Penn State, Purdue, Michigan State, Indiana and Illinois from the Big Ten, Nebraska from the Big 12, Florida out of the Southeastern Conference and Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Syracuse from the Big East are among the schools which have told the senior linebacker a scholarship is his if he so chooses. Dailey also continues to get a chance to see some of the various schools which have some interest in him due to the large number of one-day camps offered by Division I-A colleges. He has cashed in on those opportunities throughout the offseason. “Andrew went to Ohio State this past week, as well as Michigan,” Stacy said. “He just went to Penn State and really liked that. He got a chance to spend some time with Joe Paterno.” Gamble has been stuck on the two offers from the University of Akron and Ball State University through much of the summer. “Brian is still kind of waiting around,” Stacy said. “He’s got a couple of offers. He’s trying to get the academics fixed.” Stacy believes things will pick up for his All-Ohio tailback/safety once the school year picks up. “The big thing with him is that he has work to do academically, and the colleges know that,” Stacy said. “It’s not a secret. They can read the transcripts and see the history behind it. If he gets that part of the puzzle fixed, he’ll be in good shape and he’ll get more offers out there.” |

With all of the recent DB movement (Underwood and Welch apprently off the team and C.Lukens move to LB -- relayed via the most recent official roster), I wouldn't be surprised at all to see us bring aboard Brian... actually, I would love to see it.

Brian Gamble – who had 104 rushing yards in the first half on his way to 164 yards for a game – and K.J. Herring (one rushing and one receiving) each scored a pair of first-half touchdowns, while Trey Miller broke the scoreless deadlock with 8:21 left in the first quarter with a touchdown catch. Gamble would add two more rushing touchdowns and 60 more yards on four third-quarter carries, while Herring tacked on 71 more yards onto his total of 97 along with another score of his own in the third quarter.
“We still made some mistakes, but nothing major,” Gamble said. “I think we took a big step forward.” Link |
