I know of carpals (wrist) and metacarpals (hand). what the heck is a capillary bone?

it's unfortunate...kris, remember to rest your hand and just follow through the rehab religiously. don't hurry yourself into action to reaggrevate the injury. get well soon, big guy!

"Breaking" a capillary in your hand would most likely mean a ruptured blood vessel. Looks like a bruise but will swell like a burn because the blood is trapped in between the skin and tissue. Hurts ike hell, and it can take a long time to heal and if you don't let it rest and heal properly you end up having a clot form that has to be surgically removed.
I had the same kind of thing happen to me when I was in high school and ended up having surgery on the clot because it grew to be the size of a golfball.
