'07 MI RB/DB Quincy Landingham (Wisconsin signee)
'07 MI RB/DB Quincy Landingham
Bloomfield Hills (MI) Lahser Height: 6-foot-0 Weight: 195 pounds 40-yard dash: 4.5 seconds This thread is early yet, but Quincy is solid player in the Detroit metro area. He is also a big tOSU fan as shown in the picture above and the Buckeyes are listed as his favorite team in his team website profile. Quicy averaged 9.8 yards per carry and was a ballhawk from his strong safety position. Defensive stats to come soon as Rivals is already on this kid and a report is soon to come. ![]() Thanks to AnnArborBuck for the heads up on this prospect. Status update
Quincy is busy preparing for next season, he is in great shape. According to my source he is up to about 6'2". He was at the OSU summer camp last year and was seperated out from the group after running his 40 (very good time). He was on the field for the MSU game and he had offers from several other schools to attend games (SCUM vs OSU) but he was busy leading his team deep into the playoffs.
Quincy really wants to play DB at the next level as he LOVES to hit. He was getting more and more contact from schools as the season went on, mostly from SCUM, MSU, Purdue, Wisky, Virginia, and I believe VT. He is down to two schools, OSU and Purdue. He has an official offer from Purdue, but he is holding out for an OSU offer. Quincy grew up an OSU fan as his family is from Ohio, it is his dream to play for OSU. |

3/14 Film clips. Quincy has offers from Michigan State, Purdue, Indiana and Stanford. He is fully qualified. My Take: Quincy projects as a DB/WR in college but 3 of the 4 films show RB highlights. As a DB, he is a very aggressive hitter and is not afraid the take it to the ballcarrier. He shows excellent acceleration, good recovery and space awareness, and solid ball skills. With a limited amount to review, Quincy appears to be a very solid prospect. Last edited by osugrad21; 03-14-2006 at 03:16 PM. |

Quincy is a good ball player and all, but I don't know if he's OSU offer worthy, and it depends on where OSU's staff are thinking of using him. If it's at safety, don't think he'll get an offer from y'all because you already have Oliver and will probably get Clifford. I like Quincy and all, but I tend to think that the Michigan State Rivals guy rankings are a bit out of whack, and that he overrates Quincy quite a bit. You should know that the Michigan State Rivals guy who makes that list doesn't have Ronald Johnson is his top 3. Hmmm, wonder if that has anything to do with Johnson stating many times publicly that Michigan State wasn't an option for him. Injury or not, Johnson is the best player in the state of Michigan next year. Only player anybody could seriously put over him and not get laughed at for doing so is Joe Barksdale.

3/28 Has offers from Indiana, Michigan State, Purdue, and Stanford. Will play either strong safety or running back in college. No mention of tOSU. Early on obviously it seemed like he was a big OSU lean, now he hasnt mentioned them and isnt listing them anymore. I think it will be hard for Quincy to get an offer at safety, and I also think that the staff has running backs ahead of him. |

Quincy hasn't mentioned OSU as much because he doesn't have an offer yet. IF he gets an offer from OSU, you can bet that they'll be his #1 team over Purdue, Michigan State, Stanford, and Indiana. The problem is that OSU already has a top safety committed and is on other high profile guys at the position (such Eugene Clifford) which means Quincy will have to wait it out to get an offer if he gets one at all. I don't think he'll come in at RB to any school to be honest, he's a much better player on defense than he is on offense. Defense is where his future is at in college.
