check earlier in the thread, already confirmed he was going to be at both the nike and osu camps.
there were not many elite prospects at this camp.

  the later camp is the one you want to goto if possible, much more time with the coaches. any buzz on this kid getting an offer at camp if he tests well? I would think he would have to have a stellar performance being he is projected at both positions we are strong at.

Givens' decision to come Monday By LANCE CRANMER Gazette Sports Writer <!-- ARTICLE BODYTEXT --> <!--ARTICLE TEXT--> The rumor mill has been spinning out of control lately about Chillicothe's Chris Givens. Will the highly touted receiver set to begin his senior year with the Cavaliers wear scarlet and gray in 2007? Probably not. Then will it be Cincinnati, West Virginia, Purdue, Northwestern, Pitt, Ohio, Miami, Akron ... ? The list goes on for days of schools interested in the ultra-athletic 6-foot-3, 200-pounder.Only he has the answers, though. And soon enough, the rest of the world will finally know as well. The recruiting process for Givens began January 2 when he got his first scholarship offer from Miami (Ohio) - where his older brother is currently a student (which could factor in the decision)."I'm going to make my decision Monday," Givens said Friday evening. "It's going to be a public announcement." After that, the calls, letters, visits and even text messages have been on a non-stop basis, trying to land the athlete ranked by one Ohio scouting Web site as the 13th best overall player in the state. "I think people started catching notice when I went to two combines," Givens said. "I went to a combine in Columbus for Rivals.comand I did really well up there. I ran the 40 and caught a couple of nice passes. Then I got the MVP at one of the top combines in the nation, Scout.com, in Louisville. That's when I started getting phone calls and 20 to 30 letters in the mail." Since then, Givens has been caught in the whirlwind of attention from college suitors attempting to land him on their respective campuses at this time next year. "I really like the attention and the publicity," he said. "But I'm keeping a mellow head about it." Givens has spent the last few months working hard for the upcoming season - which begins August 25 when Chillicothe travels to Columbus Brookhaven - alongside cousin and former Chillicothe High School standout, Brad Bates. "He's been there a lot working out with me and helping me with my recruiting," Givens said. "He's been such a big mentor to me." Bates, who holds several receiving records for the Cavaliers, went on to play at Marshall University. Givens said he has two major goals for this season - and one of them just happens to involve his cousin. "First thing is a winning season for Chillicothe. That's what I want to do for our teammates," he said. "Second is to beat my cousin's receiving and touchdowns records. It's time to make a new era in the record list for Chillicothe." By signing with a college early, Givens expects that it will take some of the pressure off of him during his senior year and make it a little easier to enjoy. "Some people are scared about their senior year. It's not really scary to me. I'm excited about it," he said. "Me, I'm kind of glad. I'm ready to play college ball and have fun in college." But what college? That is kind of the big question, isn't it? "Yeah, I'll give you some hints," Givens said. "It's between Miami (Ohio), Cincinnati, Akron and Michigan State. Those are the four schools that I'm really into that I really like." All that's left now is to weigh the top factors Givens has focused on to aide in his choice. "The No. 1 decision is a school that's going to have great academics," he said. "No. 2 is a nice football program. No. 3 is probably location. Not close to home or anything, but how the campus is and is it a nice campus where I don't have to worry about anything happening to me or any trouble." Givens said that though people may expect his decision to be swayed by the words of recruiters and scouts, he ensures it is his own. "I think a lot of people are going to be surprised. It's something people wouldn't think I would do, but when I explain myself, people will think I made my decision my way," he said. "Some think it's because recruiters tell me what I can do in the future and what I can become. This is more my own family decision."

From the description he gives of what he looking for in a school and his final 4 choices, i would put my money on Miami (OH)...Chris would be a good catch for that program

RedHawks land standout WR A scouting group calls Chillicothe's Givens the top receiver in Ohio. By Kyle Nagel Staff Writer If Bill Davidson were a Miami University football fan, he would share in the enthusiasm about the verbal commitment the RedHawks received from Chillicothe High School wide receiver Chris Givens this week. "I personally think they got a steal," said Davidson, the Chillicothe coach. "He's a Big Ten-caliber player. I know people say that about a number of players, but in this case it's true." The commitment from Givens, who Davidson estimated at 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, has created plenty of excitement among the Miami fan base, and some ratings back that up. According to Scout.com, Givens, who will be a senior this fall, is the No. 1-ranked wide receiver in Ohio in the Class of 2007 and No. 13 player overall. Rivals.com ranks him lower, at No. 5 among receivers and No. 45 overall. "I prefer the mental part of the game," said Givens, who added he was highly attracted to Miami's business school. "Even though I think I do well just physically, I'm going to study the defenders and break them down." Givens has been a varsity starter in every game of his three-year career. The Chillicothe football team Web site lists his 40-yard dash time at 4.43 seconds and says he totaled 446 receiving yards in four games last season. He started the team's first six games at quarterback. Davidson said West Virginia, Michigan State and Cincinnati also were seriously recruiting Givens. Miami was the first school to offer a scholarship, in January. "I've been here since 1984, and we've had kids go to Ohio State, Illinois, Marshall, other big schools — and he's as good as any of them," Davidson said.

Not to toot our horn too much here, but we were all over this one...
I still think that if he would of attened camp he might of seen an offer...I really like Dane and Washington, but I would of had no problem if Givens would of seen an offer as well... O well, good luck to him at Miami(OH) he is going to be a good one...
