 Darius Johnson Highland Park (MI) Height: 6-0 Weight: 200 lbs. 40-time: 4.6 Bench: 230 lbs. Vertical: 27" Rivals $ 11/21 Johnson ran for 2167 yards and 22 TD's his Sophomore year, and 2293 yards and 30 scores this year. He is hearing from all of the Big 10. Rivals $ (scUM site) 1/5 Darius talks about his junior year and his plans for this spring/summer. He will attend the Nike camp in Columbus this spring.

1/25/06 Rivals.com has posted video of Johnson in action. Observations: His pad level his high when he is running, displays great ability to break tackles and uses his blocks well. Did not show any break away runs, more of the 10-20 type runs in the inside. One clip showed him at linebacker, he struggled to get off blocks and seemed to not make the tackle until 5 yards down the field. Granted it was only a handful of plays. Due to all the interest in Michigan recruits this year and next, I was wondering who was recruiting up that way? Whoever it is, is doing a heck of a job.

2/7/06 Indiana, Purdue, Michigan State, and Cincinnati send mail. Michigan State is his early leader. Johnson will attend camp at Illinois and the NIKE camp in Ann Arbor this summer.
