2/10/06 From OhioVarsity.com...Chaffin projects as a guard at the next level. His favorites appear to be OSU, Louisville and Virginia Tech. He is also receiving interest from BC, Purdue, Miami (OH), Wisconsin and Maryland.

Jason is a good guy I've talked with him on BN before and we would talk with each other about how our seasons were going. I went to watch him last year in the playoffs when they played Shawnee and he is a guy you might want to keep your eye on. He has a great work ethic and good size and was a very solid run blocker. Alter doesn't throw very much so I can't tell you how his pass blocking is. I'll check to see if he is camping at OSU this year. Also he loves the Bucks and was on the forums at BN quite a bit.

I went to a couple of Alters games this year. I saw him play in Bellbrook, CJ, and the Eaton games. I came away very impressed with how this kid looked. I can defineitly say that he is a very good run blocker, pass blocking was ok, but then again Alter never really passed that much, so they probably didn't really work on pass blocking that much anyways. He has a big solid build. From what I have seen (only 3 games) I would not be surprised if he got any offers from anyone.... hopefully
  . I can't wait to see his highlight tape whenever they put it up on Rivals.com .

Jason will be camping at West Virginia and Boston College camp by invite and has been getting mail from both. Also will be attending the Scout combine in Louisville and an All-American camp in Lansing. Wants to go to OSU camp but isn't sure if he will yet.

I talked to an Alter football players dad yesturday, and apparently things are starting to pick up for him. He has now been getting some mail from Akron and Michigan State as well. Michigan State wants him to camp there as well. I hope that to hear that the Bucks start sending this guy some stuff the next time I hear from him.

I just came across this, apparently he still has no intrest from Ohio State. This is really surprising to me. I am so surprised that OSU hasn't sent this guy anything. OSU, where's the intrest? He has interest from the Big East, SEC, ACC, and the Big 10. Here is the story.

Just talked to Bubba a bit ago. Apparently the interest is picking up heavily but OSU is yet to send him anything. Now getting mail daily from Michigan State, Minnesota, Illinios, Penn State, Notre Dame, Duke, Syracuse, Tennessee, Kent State, Marshall, Ohio University, Akron U., Toledo, West Virginia, Miami OH, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, BC, Maryland, Wisconsin, and Purdue, and a few others. With some good camp performances I think he will get him an offer or two. He is just too hard of a worker and too good a player not to. Has been to Ohio U, Kent St., and Marshall's junior days as well.
