10/3 By BK... Josh says that tOSU and Illinois are his top two. He will be going to the Michigan/Michigan St. game this weekend, and will also go see Illinois play Ohio U. and tOSU play Michigan later in the season. Someone, *cough* Ron Zook *cough*, has been in Josh's ear about our D-Line "depth"... |

I think Josh knows how we rotate our DL, and that if he's good enough he'll see the field early, ala Lawrence Wilson last year...

OSU does have lots of DL, but very few true DT's. Many feel he's the best DT prospect on our board. Joel Penton is a serviceable DT but not a great one, yet he's been playing often for 3 years straight. Unlike many positions, DT is one where he could see the field quickly in Heacock's rotation. MSU's meltdown combined with negative recruiting seems to have shifted our momentum a bit. |

Honestly if a kid wants to go to an ILLINOIS for pt than maybe he doesnt believe enough in himself. Not saying it is a bad thing or a good thing, but if you listen to guys that become stars most of them have a confidence in their ability.
Now if he wants to goto Illinois for other reason(family and the like) and is looking for another reason to tell the reporter well then that is different. Not making any judgements just merely stating an opinion. |

What about Doug Worthington mving inside? I have heard that this was a possible move becuase of our depth at DE now.
DE: Wilson - Martin - Williams - Thomas DT: Worthington - Abdallah - Garnier - Jeremiah DT: Denlinger/Barrow - Larimore - Brent/Still DE/LEO: Gholston - Rose - Dublin - Morgan How does this look for next year? Worthington seems too good a prospect to be sharing time on the DL. I would like to see him healthy and active on the line next year. Last edited by BGriffBuckeye; 10-03-2006 at 02:25 PM. |

I was posting the same thing BGriff when my computer shut down mysteriously...I think Worthington and Barrow move down, which still means Brent could be in the rotation by his RS freshman year.
A simple phone call between Josh and Doc Tressel should clear all this up... |

That type of concern is a turnoff for some staffs...
For example, a '07 4-star running back said the same thing to a staff a few months ago while on an unofficial visit...after he left the coach's office, the staff never contacted him again. I'm not saying that is the case here or that it should be, but the hesitancy to compete is a red flag for me... |

Great mids think alike WADC...With Wilson/Barrow/Worthington with their hands on the ground, and then Gholston playing Carp's role... our defensive front could be SICK!!! |

The pt factor has certainly worked out for "Juice" Williams, but seeing the environment that OSU plays in on the road at Iowa and at home vs. Michigan has to weigh heavy.

10/4 Josh will unofficially visit Michigan this weekend. He says his favorites, in order, are tOSU, Illinois, and Michigan. |
