From staff reports
St. Ignatius' Kevin Koncelik, who will anchor the Wildcats' offensive line this season, has accepted a football scholarship from Miami (Ohio) University.
A 6-4, 270-pound tackle, Koncelik also was being recruited by Bowling Green, Ball State, Cincinnati, Boston College and Ohio University. He plans to sign a national letter of intent with the RedHawks during the NCAA signing period in February.
"Kevin really stays with his blocks," said St. Ignatius coach Chuck Kyle. "He has good balance and footwork. That is what the college coaches are really impressed with, that he never loses his feet. Of course, he's also a hockey player."
