Listing Ohio State and NC State as "high interest". Also interested in UF, Kentucky, UVa and VA Tech... with offers from all but Florida.
His listed 4.6 speed seems to be a bit high, as his coach say he is a football player and plays much faster than what that says. The offer must be new. In a 6/26/06 (Rivals$) update he didn't even mention us, but now appears to be very interested. The staff may see Herron as more of a between the tackles guy and Simmons as a speedster in the mold of Maurice Wells... or, possibly as a Slot WR or DB.
25 of Kevin's 36 touchdowns were of 50 yards or more.
In the June 26th update cited above, Simmons's coach admits that Kevin is not a track guy, but states that he has 4.4 speed with the ball in his hands. His coach also suggests that academics may be an issue with Kevin.
Sidenote: brother of VA Tech LB Deveon Simmons.

Also, Scout listed a 4.85 forty as a camp result, but I am not sure when that was taken.

By BK... Kevin does not have an offer from the Buckeyes. He is still looking for his first written offer, but claims some verbal offers from SEC and ACC schools. He hasn't heard from tOSU, but says he thinks his Coach has. His favorites are tOSU and FSU.

Hmm, I wonder why his profile said he had an offer then. Oh well. Judging by his film though, I hope we contacted him.

By Mike Farrell... This update says that Kevin's favorites are tOSU and NC State. He states that he has a "bunch" of offers from schools in the Big-10, ACC, and SEC.
