They used to play both games on different dates, but I think I recall hearing that the PA squad moved the Big 33 game to the same date as the ONSC.
I know there is a lot of tradition and history to the game, but whats the point in playing it when either team is not at full strength? |

2007 North-South Football Game

Several tOSU recruits will be playing in the Ohio North South game June 17th. Link COLUMBUS, Ohio ? Sixty-eight of the best high-school football players in Ohio will be on display June 16 when the Grange Insurance Ohio North-South Classic is played at Columbus Crew Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. As the longest running high-school football all-star game in the nation, the 62nd Annual Grange Insurance Ohio North-South Classic is widely recognized as the leading all-star game in the Midwest and among the best in the country. This year, the game will again feature most of the top graduating high-school football players in Ohio . Ohio State recruits Jermale Hines, Nate Oliver, Rocco Pentello, Solomon Thomas and Devon Torrence are among the players in this year?s game. In all, 13 players in this year?s game will play football next year at Big Ten Conference schools, while about 40 of the 68 will play Division I football next year. Kevin Fell of Wapakoneta will coach the South squad and Bob Spaite of Columbiana will coach the North team in this year?s contest. If I'm not mistaken, then this would be the 2nd all-star game coached by Wapak's coach. I believe he coached in last weekend's all star game in Van Wert pitting the Western Buckeye League All-Stars against a combination of the MAC/NorthWest Conference All-Stars. The WBL pulled out a win for only the second time in eight tries.

i notice that sanzenbacher, herron and saine are not listed on the rosters after getting an invite.
did they elect to not play in the game? If this is answered in their individual threads I apologize, but I am lazy. |

One name that stood out to me on the roster was Morgan Williams, the RB from Canton. I presume it is grades that is keeping him from college. Does anyone know if he is going the Jr. College route or anything?
