Mabin to name choice Monday

Nordonia High will conduct a news conference on Monday on behalf of running back Jordan Mabin, who will announce his college decision.
Mabin, who has rushed for 1,124 yards on 123 carries and scored 12 touchdowns this season, has told reporters that he has narrowed his choices to Northwestern and Pittsburgh.
The 5-11, 185-pound Mabin has gained more than 1,000 yards for the fourth consecutive year. Despite playing part-time as a freshman, he gained 1,067 yards. He increased his totals to 1,775 yards as a sophomore and finished with 1,495 yards last year.
Efforts to reach Mabin on Thursday were unsuccessful. Athletic Director Rob Eckenrode said no further details would be available until Monday.
"I have no idea what Jordan has decided," Eckenrode said. "We'll all find out on Monday."
