I know it is real early, but is Jordan leaning any direction at this point with regard to school
He has a cousin at Pitt, and he equally attended OSU, scUM, and Pitt games this past season

True it is very early, but Pitt will have a slight advantage with Jordan thanks in part to the fact that his cousin Dorin Dickerson, who played in the AA game last weekend, is committed to Wanny. It all comes down to whether or not the big schools think Jordan can be a field-type corner at the next level (with 4.42 speed and a 10.8 100 I am guessing he can). If not, he could end up as a RB in an offense like Northwestern's or Purdue's. Smaller backs like Mabin, and like Sutton, seem to thrive in those type of offenses as opposed to OSU's or Michigan's (see: Hart, Mike).

Mabin
I am glad he has realized that CB is his future now we can take him Herron and Stephens.

there are a ton of great RB recruits looking at OSU for 2007. like it or not, getting a kid like Stephens out of Texas will be tough, regardless of his ties to OSU. and Herron is not a lock for an OSU offer at this point. Herron is a superb talent but lacks ideal size at this point. don't forget about kids like Brian Gamble and Morgan Williams, both of whom could end up at RB or DB, and Hosea Simpson, who some think may be the best pure back in the class. Drew Desimone, Frankie Edmonds, Jaa'Rome Williams and Demario Pleasant are also good backs that will be looking for an OSU offer next year.

Further solidifying his status as a defensive recruit...from the Scout's combine notebook:

Jordan Mabin from Nordonia High School in Macedonia, Ohio was our pick for the combine's best defensive athlete. Truth be told, we thought Mabin's play at defensive back was so good that we had to figure out a way to get him on the list, and his athleticism is as good as any of the defensive backs that showed up.

Mabin in my opinion will be a priority for Ohio State in next years class, which is fortunate because we will need some impact players in the secondary. The class is deep with secondary talent and along with Gamble, Oliver, and possibly Williams.
