So if Austin Peay were to play Akron in, say basketball; would they chant something like, "Bring down the Zippers! Let's Go Peay!"

Ohio State football
Buckeyes eager to improve line play

DISPATCH
Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel said of center Jim Cordle, shown above during this year's spring game: "I thought Jimmy played pretty well (against Youngstown State), but not like he's going to play in six weeks where he's been there every snap."
Fans should find out Saturday against Akron how much the weekly Jim Parker award means to Ohio State linemen.
In fact, it should be worth double.
The award is supposed to go to the top lineman of each game, but offensive coordinator Jim Bollman did not award it after a 38-6 win over Youngstown State in the season opener. Eight times the Buckeyes ran the ball inside the Penguins 5-yard line and five times they were stymied or lost yardage. Two of the other three carries were for touchdowns by Chris "Beanie" Wells and Brandon Saine.

OSU notebook: Tressel impressed by Cal, mum on Michigan
Friday, September 7, 2007 3:30 AM
By Ken Gordon
The Columbus Dispatch
Almost every time he speaks, Ohio State coach Jim Tressel provides an example of why people consider him to have a future in politics.
He was asked yesterday if he was surprised the Buckeyes dropped in both major polls despite beating Youngstown State 38-6.
Tressel said it probably was the result more of what other teams did than how OSU looked, and used California as an example. He said he moved Cal up significantly in his USA Today coaches' poll ballot after its win over Tennessee.
"After one game in the season, who had an impressive performance?" Tressel said. "We had to move Cal up there, and we moved Cal up into the top 10. We probably had them in the teens somewhere (last week)."
