QB Locker still Washington's starter despite dismal spring game
SEATTLE (AP) ? For one day, anyway, phenom Jake Locker didn't look as good as Carl Bonnell. He didn't complete as many passes. Had fewer touchdowns. Even had an interception.
But Bonnell could have looked like Dan Marino during Washington's spring game on Saturday, and Locker still would be the Huskies' starter on Aug. 31 at Syracuse. And then against Boise State, Ohio State, UCLA, Southern California, et al., this season.
"I've been saying it all along, in all different manners and methods of saying it: Jake Locker is our No. 1 quarterback. And Carl Bonnell is our No. 2 quarterback," Huskies coach Tyrone Willingham said.
Locker, a redshirt freshman and former high school superstar from Ferndale, completed just 4 of 8 passes for 38 yards with one touchdown and an interception Saturday.

They must really see something in Locker during practice or something, becuase if I was the head coach and Bonnell did that good compared to Locker, I would be having second thoughts about the QB situation. But, Willingham is set on Locker, he must really see something great in him in practice.

Nice to know we'll be going up against a team who will be having potential QB decisiveness issues as well. Hopefully they'll be platooning them and neither stands out.

Some say we're gonna have trouble with them. I say, that makes no sense. We'll beat them by 90 points.

Memories of OSU teams that should roll someone out west and didn't, die hard for some of us.

It's such an early season game, really anything can happen!
It will be a battle.

I am ok with Small. But no Jenkins or Wells please. Remember A.Rus last year? what happens if our 1st string RB gets injured in a return game.
edit: just realized you meant mo wells. That's fine but definitely not Jenkins. I hope.
