The 33 points scored by Northwestern in the overtime loss in 2004 is their most ever against the Buckeyes, and their only single game total in excess of 28 points.
The 27 points scored in regulation time of that game is tied with their efforts in 1946 and 1989 for the 2nd most points ever against the Buckeyes in regulation (both double-digit losses for the Wildcats).
The Buckeyes average score against Northwestern is 27.14 points. The Wildcats have managed 9.32 ppg against
OSU.
Since 1973 (inclusive) the average score is 42.54 - 10.88
The only time the Wildcats exceeded 27 points in this series (in regulation) was in their 40-28 loss in 1982.
