Im actually making the trip out to the game from c-bus. In all my years as a fan I have never been to an away game. Except for bowls. What should I know about West Lafayette?

I hate to say this, since it always seems someone says this about almost every game, but I'm nervous about this one. Maybe it's because 2004 didn't go well, maybe it's because the last regular season loss was a night away game, or maybe it's because the dink/dunk offenses still seem to work better than they should against Heacock's D's. I also hate missing out on Saine. Beanie is obviously not good for 30+ carries a game, and Mo isn't big enough to break tackles. I think the Buckeyes win by around 10, but the Bucks better show up fired up.
Buckeyes 27
Boilers 16
By the way, what's up with the Ntre Ame joke? Is it one of those no "O" and no "D" things? I know, I know, I'm a clueless moron, but at least I'm not too timid to admit it.

I think that Jax and Dryden have nailed the keys for the Bucks, at least defensively. Eliminate the run, especially on first down. Force Purdue into obvious passing situations, and Heacock can roll the dice. It's tough to blitz spread option teams, which is why I think you didn't see as much heat last night. I expect to see more pressure against the Boilers. If the Bucks can force them into third and long, keep everything in front, and bust the receivers after the catch. The speed of the Bucks on D, along with the improved tackling, will be critical. Someone who I think will play a key role is Trapasso. If he can keep dropping punts inside the 15, and force the opponent into longer type of scoring drives, I like the Bucks' chances.

I watched them play ND, so I would say that 68th ranked is very believable.

Posted: Sat Sep 29, 2007 9:18 pmWell, I'm sitting here watching the Gopher-buckeye game, and even though its 23-7 with 5:31 left in the 3rd, I do not see osu doing anything better than us.

Posted: Sat Sep 29, 2007 10:11 pm I'm not impressed with their receivers. They are catching some balls against minny D? Is that something to be proud of? Post subject:

Posted: Sat Sep 29, 2007 9:31 pmIt will be an interesting game. I think Boeckman is marginal at best and if we force them to throw the ball we have a shot. If we allow Wells to run on us, it will be a long day.
