Lost any 3OT games to "them" lately? have about 65miles between any of your rivals ??? And I root for OSU and MSU... The hate is exponentially greater. Living next to these arrogant assholes multiplies it many times over... Quote:
The MSU OL is finally healthy, literally for the first time since the first game of the season so it's tough to get a gauge on how many sacks MSU is going to give up. Hoyer is freaking awesome when he gets rid of the ball, but lacks very good pocket presence. He 'turtles up' 9 times out of 10 whenever pressure is around so I'd say 4 sacks would be the minimum you guys get... Last edited by st8ofmind; 10-17-2007 at 12:39 PM. |

A MSU tidbit: In 1959 a young Qb got his first collegiate start against MSU and threw 3 touchdown passes., two to Jim Houston. Bob Ferguson had a 55 yard run for another.
The Qb ........ Tom Matte. |

The poor tackling was more evident early in the game.

st8ofmind...Leave the Spartan bashing to the Buckeyes
Quote:
I don't know if it's because you're looking to make friends with random dudes on the internet or maybe you're just not a big MSU fan, but either way please leave the Spartan bashing to our opponents. If you want to denigrate "our" program, do it on spartantailgate.com. I am offended by your willingness to put down a team that you supposedly bleed for. That's bush man. Most of the Buckeye fans on this board have shown more respect for MSU's squad this year than you have. Frankly, it's embarrassing. Do all of us a favor and find another team to root for (or should I say against). |

I don't expect a one-dimensional attack. I expect the RBs to get more yards than we like, for Hoyer to make some nice plays (UM passovers doing well thus far... Sharpley too)... but for us to hold them well enough in check to win. Oh, and there's that grossly inequal matchup the other half of the time.

I have a feeling this will be a classic bend-but-don't-break defense against Sparty's running attack. Once the running game reaches the red zone, the defense will get bunched up and much stingier.

Your offense is well-balanced and effective, and will be a nice test to see how good our defense really is. If there's a weakness that we're pointing to, it's your defense, which is ironic considering your coach. You've got a shot if they play their best game yet, or if our offense sputters. |

Lima
Coaches Dantonio, Tressel not exactly alike Jim Naveau | jnaveau@limanews.com - 10.18.2007 COLUMBUS ? As long as Ohio State?s Jim Tressel and Michigan State?s Mark Dantonio coach against each other, people will look for similarities and ask if there is a little bit more of a rivalry in the game because the two worked together for years and are friends. And as long as they coach against each other, the two participants will downplay the personal side of the game. Dantonio was Ohio State?s defensive coordinator from 2001-2003 and was Tressel?s defensive coordinator at Youngstown State from 1986-1990. He is in his first season at Michigan State after being Cincinnati?s head coach for three seasons. Similarities in his program and Tressel?s aren?t hard to find going into Saturday?s OSU-MSU game at Ohio Stadium. Start with the countdown clock. Cont.. |

Not going to get into a [censored]ing match with you. For some peeps nothing but being a blind homer is being a 'fan', I guess that is your position. I posted facts. Nothing else. I very much like the direction Coach D is going, but I think MSU has a ways to go. Look at NU, the similar opponent for both schools, which both faced @ home, and then please act like MSU anything other than a 2% chance of winning on Saturday... You have to lay 10k on the bucks winning straight up to win a hundred right now, I think that speaks to the state of both programs better than anything I can say. I took out all the We references and replaced them with MSU since I'm such a horrible fan, the kind of fan that has driven to ATL to watch the Elite 8, and gone to San Antonio, Tx to watch "us" get annihilated in the Alamo Bowl...
