I thought it was .. lyrical, it lured me with a thin line of words, then reeled me in on a turn of sublime phrasing.

Big Ten Countdown - No. 4 Penn State
By Tony Gerdeman
Predicted Finish 9-3 (5-3)
Two-Cent Overview
Quarterback Anthony Morelli returns after a record-setting season (most pass completions - 208; most pass attempts - 386), as do all of his wide receivers. The workhorse of the offense, running back Tony Hunt, is gone, and he takes his dependability with him. Three offensive linemen return, but only center A.Q. Shipley will return to his position of 2006. The defensive front was hit hard, and only one starter returns. Vicinity-tackler Paul Posluszny is also gone, but the linebackers are anything but short-handed. Starting cornerback Tony Davis moves to free safety, allowing A.J. Wallace to step in full time with Justin King on the outside. The secondary will definitely be an area of strength for Penn State.

Vicinity tackler - that is an interesting description for departed Posluszny.

OSU faces one more with Penn State
Sunday, October 7, 2007
By TODD PORTER
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. At this rate, Jim Tressel might have to start working afternoons. Saturday night's game at Ross-Ade Stadium against No. 20 Purdue was the second straight prime-time game for the Buckeyes.
And it's still not their last. Ohio State heads to Penn State in three weeks for another 8 p.m. kickoff, which will give the Buckeyes three 8 p.m. starts in five games. The Purdue game was the first time in OSU history the Buckeyes played consecutive night games.
That wasn't by Ohio State's choice. Network television (in this case ABC and ESPN) decides which games it wants to do in prime time, and the host school has to agree to it.
